Nickel-Silver Point shaped on one end or both ends. The 50 mm (2 in) length lasts through hundreds of drawings.

Nickel Silver Point is made from dead soft, nickel silver wire composed of 18% nickel, 17% zinc, and 65% copper. Available in two widths, the wide point (2 mm diameter) is shaped on both ends, a cone on one end and a bevel on the other end. The thin point (0.9 mm) is shaped to a cone only on one end. All points measure 5 cm (2 inches) in length.

Nickel silver (also referred to as Mailechort, German silver, Argentan, new silver, nickel brass, albata, alpacca, or electrum) is a copper alloy with nickel and zinc of the usual composition of 60% copper, 20% nickel and 20% zinc. Nickel silver is named for its silvery appearance, but it does not contains silver. The name “German silver” refers to its development by nineteenth-century German metalworkers in imitation of the Chinese alloy known as paktong (cupronickel). All modern, commercially important nickel silvers contain significant amounts of zinc, and are sometimes considered a subset of brass.

Nickel Silver Points are available in dead soft hardness. Dead soft, which refers to the hardness of point, is usually used to describe silver or nickel silver wire. Dead-soft wire has not been hardened at all—a hardness of 0, making it the most malleable.

All Aurum metal points fit in the Aurum Silverpoint Dual Stylus.
