Brass is a metal alloy made of copper and zinc; the proportions of zinc and copper can be varied to create a range of brasses with varying properties. Yellow brass is an American term for brass composed of about 33% zinc. Aurum Yellow Brass is C260 Cartridge Brass is produced from a combination of 70% copper and 30% zinc. Among yellow brass, it has the highest ductility and has an attractive smooth, yellow brass finish. The high zinc content of C260 gives it the optimum combination of strength and ductility while maintaining the high formability of copper. It has excellent cold workability and is used extensively in the automotive industry, also in the manufacturing of plumbing, hardware, and ammunition.
All Aurum metal points fit in the Aurum Silverpoint Dual Stylus.
